AIM Centre Announced as VEX IQ Robotics Cluster Lead
AIM are taking the roll of Cluster Leader for the roll out of VEX IQ in Primary Schools around the Sligo, Leitrim, Mayo and surrounding border towns.
AIM Centre and Atlantic Technological University are thrilled to announce the launch of the VEX Robotics programme in National Schools across the North-West, thanks to sponsorship from AbbVie! Their generous funding has made it possible for us to kick-start this initiative and empower the engineers and innovators of the future.
As Cluster Leader, AIM will engage schools with our outreach programme, which will involve the following:
Teacher training, to ensure teachers are equipped with the skills needed to support their students.
Term time outreach, where we come to you for an interactive workshop and help you get ahead of the competition!
Scrimmages, where students attend the AIM Centre on Saturday mornings to go head-to-head with other schools in the locality.
This year’s programme will prepare our students to compete on a global stage, with eyes set on the 2025 VEX Robotics World Competition.
After a successful summer of hosting VEX Robotics workshops in local communities centres, we officially kicked off teacher training for participating schools this month.
